CM² House was born from the idea of designing a living space in my image and likeness. In this project I was able to best express my choices while respecting the budget, having to design an apartment for myself. From the entrance you immediately notice how the predominant character is the minimalism of the choices based on the use of white, black and gray mixed with a single colour: teal, the leitmotif of the project in every room. The entrance staircase, in opaque pietra serena, is enriched by a diagonal cut on the first steps, created by overlapping a black painted iron sheet, which is also repeated in the side walls using black painting. Going up the staircase you enter the heart of the apartment, the open space living area where we find a “Veneta Cucine” kitchen in shades of white and grey, with a black Corian top, and the living room, also in the same shades. The touch of teal color is given by the drawers of the TV cabinet and the cross detail of the sideboard, both made to measure, as well as by the chairs and stools in colored transparent plastic from the “Eau” series by Calligaris. A stone-effect wall that recalls the colors of the wood-effect stoneware floor (the same throughout the house) warms and enriches the environment. The sleeping area consists of a bedroom, study and main bathroom. Here too we played on the contrasts of black and white, enriched by mirrors, etched glass and a predominant colour. In the bedroom the color is still teal, which dominates on the wall behind the bed, the right contrast to the stone-effect wall opposite, like the one in the living room. In the bathroom, covered in matt black stoneware tiles, the striking touch is given by a wall-mounted mirror-lamp, designed specifically for this space. The studio, however, is the only environment in which the black and white are no longer lit up by teal but by a very lively orange. Here too, custom-made furnishings in wood and iron complete the environment. To complete the apartment we then find the secondary bathroom (with gray matt stoneware coverings) and the laundry room. A large covered terrace that extends lengthwise enriches the space.
